Here's some links to rock music:

Hit this with my dude Eric, who hand delivered some mail from Blast Of Power fanzine I accidentally had shipped there despite not living in his basement with one 3'x1' window for nearly three years.
We talked shit and ate Kitchen 17 tofu nugs and cauliflower "wings" that were a little too deep fried for my tastes. I feel like this place has fallen off quite a bit since it was owned by the communist man, but he was also a Zionist, so it's a fair trade.
+ Ira Glass was loud as fuck. I don't think they ever relented, even their breaks were some wall of sound type shit. They were initially described to me as "screamo with sax parts," which I don't think is fair or accurate. The video I saw put them more in Coughs territory, while being five feet from them reminded me of the time I saw Drunkdriver. Just loud, artkid shit in a good way.
+ Cel Ray had a ton of manic energy, which kind of made them the odd band out. Maddie is a great front person, flopping, gesticulating, freaking like a, uh, freak. I stepped probably one song into their set, but I do NOT think they played Lakes Mall, which is a shame. They should play that as an opener and a closer. Feel good hit of the summer.
+/- Day Residue was fun. I bought a tape. I think I'd like to see them on the floor as opposed to the stage, because it seemed like that might not have been their comfort zone.
- Ira Glass may have actually been too loud or I just maybe need ear plugs.
- I think IG and DR could have easily played 1 or 2 less songs.
- I think vegan food should be good again!
