All ages and experience level s welcome\, whether you’re a\nlongtime zine fan or can’t remember the last time you picked up a pair of\nscissors!\n \nDrop in any time between 12-6 pm and create a page for our collaborative zine.\nStarting at 12:15pm\, Na omi Shintani Deibel will share a brief history of the\nmedium using zines and artist books from her personal collection\, including\nthose she has m ade and those by other artists.\n\nIn this workshop\, participants are inv ited to contribute their own perspectives\,\nexperiment with different mat erials and tech­niques\, and collectively create a\nzine. There are no fix ed rules or boundaries. ABOUT THE ARTIST
Naomi Shintani Deibel (b. 1994 in Karlsruhe, German y) is a German artist who lives and works in Vienna.She completed her dipl oma at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and also studied at the Braun schweig University of Art,Joshibi University of Art and Design, and Chelse a College of Arts.Her artistic practice explores feminist perspectives on painting, which she expands through self-written texts, textile sculptures , and collaborative performances. Her work examines the relationships betw een images, materials, personal memories, and social conditioning. She und erstands painting as an open process in which meanings, materials, and per spectives are constantly shifting.
